Agricultural Work
Concrete for working properties.
Farm concrete has to cope with machinery, stock, mud and weather. It also tends to be a long way from the road. Tell us what the slab needs to do and what the access is like, and we’ll work out how to get it done.
What’s involved
Talk through the use
A machinery shed, stock area and wash-down pad all ask different things of the concrete.
Work out access
Farm tracks, creek crossings and wet paddocks decide what can reach the site, and when.
Prepare and form
The ground is prepared and formwork set to the levels and falls the job needs.
Steel and pour
Reinforcement goes in to suit the loads, then we place and finish the concrete.
Finish for the job
Stock and machinery need grip and drainage more than a polished look, so we finish with that in mind.
What affects your job
No two sites are the same. These are what we look at when we quote.
- Site access
- Distance from the road and the state of the tracks are often the biggest questions on rural jobs. Wet weather can change the answer.
- Soil
- Black soil, wet ground and old fill all need different preparation before concrete goes down.
- Slope
- Run-off matters more when it’s carrying mud or effluent. We plan falls to send water where you want it.
- Size
- Large machinery sheds and pads take volume. Distance from the concrete plant is part of the planning.
- Finish
- Grip for stock, durability for machinery, or easy hosing for a wash-down. Tell us what matters most.
What we need from you

Questions about agricultural work
Do you travel to rural properties?
Yes, rural and acreage work is a big part of concreting in the Scenic Rim. Tell us where you are and what the access is like.
How do you get concrete to a remote part of the property?
It depends on the distance, the track and the ground conditions. Send us photos and a description and we’ll work out the options.
Can you pour a slab for a machinery shed?
Yes. Send your shed plans and let us know what machinery it will hold, so that the slab suits the loads.
