Shed Slabs

Shed slabs, set out to suit your shed.

Shed slabs are our specialty. Many shed packages include a slab price, and it pays to compare. Send us your plans and we'll give you a free quote to put beside your shed builder's.

What’s involved

  1. We go through your plans

Your shed plans and engineering tell us the slab size, footings and where the roller doors and columns land. We check them before we quote.

  2. We prepare the pad

The site is excavated and levelled, then the base is prepared and the formwork is set out to your shed dimensions.

  3. Steel goes in

Steel is placed to the engineer's drawings, ready for any inspection your job needs.

  4. We pour and finish

The concrete is placed, screeded level and finished to suit how you will use the shed.

  5. It cures, then it’s yours

We strip the formwork and leave a tidy site. We’ll talk you through when the slab is ready for your shed builder.

What affects your job

No two sites are the same. These are what we look at when we quote.

Site access
Can a concrete truck reach the slab? Long runs, soft ground, tight gates and low power lines can all change how we pour.
Soil
Clay, sand and rock all behave differently. A soil test is often part of the engineering, and it can change the footings the slab needs.
Slope
A sloping block usually needs more cut and fill to create a level pad, and more formwork on the low side.
Size
Larger slabs take more concrete, more steel and more hands on the day. They may also need joints planned into them.
Finish
Tell us what the shed is for. Parking a car and running a workshop can call for different finishes and falls.

Questions about shed slabs

Can I get a slab price separately from my shed package?

Yes, that is exactly what we suggest. Send us your plans and we’ll give you a free quote, so you can compare it with the slab price from your shed builder before you sign.

Do I need engineering for a shed slab?

Most shed slabs need engineering as part of the approval, and it often comes with the shed package. Check with your shed supplier or certifier. If you have the drawings, send them with your enquiry.

Can you work to my shed company’s plans?

Yes. We work from the plans and engineering you’ve been given. Send them through and we’ll go over them with you.
